This Special Post Card shows Gandhiji with his wife, Kasturba Gandhi at the time when Gandhiji was a Satyagrahi in South Africa. The South African Gandhi stamp is affixed with Special Cancellation.
This Special Postcard shows the PIETERMARITZBURG station, the place where the famous Train incident occurred with Gandhiji. Gandhiji was thrown out of a First Class Train Compartment in spite of possessing a valid ticket. The excuse given was that he was not white-skinned, and the compartment was reserved for white-skinned people. This incident triggered the want for freedom in Gandhiji's heart. The South African Gandhi stamp is affixed with Special Cancellation.
