ABOUT ME

My name is Nikhil Mundra. I live in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. Besides collecting stamps on Mahatma Gandhi, I love playing Chess and also play Squash.

I am an ardent collector of stamps on MAHATMA GANDHI worldwide. I got the 1st stamps on Gandhiji (the 1948 set of 4 stamps by India) from my Grandparents' collection. These have since been the foundation of my collection. 

Around 90 countries have issued stamps on the Mahatma till date, and I have stamps from all of them. This has been because of the excellent support of my family including my younger brother (Rohan) whose collection of transport stamps has a link on this site.

I would also like to thank the local philatelic body, South India Philatelists Association (SIPA) for providing a platform to interact with other collectors. The senior members of SIPA have been instrumental in guiding me in developing my collection.

ALL ITEMS SHOWN ARE IN MY PERSONAL COLLECTION.  I would like everyone's help to further increase my collection. I would be grateful to all you viewers out there for any help in increasing and improving my collection.

Till date, I have had 5 Exhibitions open to Public in Chennai. The details are as follows:

5. SIPAGOLD 2006 National Exhibition - Non Competitive Class

I have also exhibited competitively at the Espana'06 World Philatelic Exhibition in Malaga, Spain in 2006. I have won a Bronze Medal for my collection and the details are given under "Flash News" section.
